Program:

  • Registration from 8am – 9.15am (Cut Off for Late Entries is 9am)
  • Scrutineering from 8am – 9.30am (please report to documentation first) 
  • Drivers Briefing 9.45am
  •  Practice 10am    (Singles Practice, Duals Practice, Race Practice)
  • Prior to Lunch Break First Race Starts
  • Midday (or thereabouts) Lunch break
  • After lunch Timed runs and full races continue
  • 5.00 pm Racing finishes.

New to MotorSport!

This is a good chance for participants to try their hand at motorsport without the pressure of a full race meeting.

Single and duel sprints, all that is required is a pair of cotton overalls which are available from around $30.00, a MSNZ approved helmet and a fire extinguisher, which can be mounted to a bracket that can bolt to your passengers front seat mounts so there is no germinated damaged to your car, if you require any help with these brackets then give one of the committee a call and we will sort something out for you.

With each class you are timed on a practice session of 3 laps and then girded 10 seconds apart into a class of up to 6 cars with similar times. Then you are set off on three 4 lap sprints over the day, so there is no side by side racing and no passing, just you against the clock, you chose the pace, the day is about your enjoyment so the only pressure you are under is what you create. But on the other hand if you wish to drive the pants off your car you will be put in a Faster group.

You don't have to have a Holden to enter either, any car will do as long as it has a current warrant of fitness and registration, give one of the Commodore Car Club committee a call and they will guide you through it.

For first time drivers we will provide someone to sit with you while you drive around the track and familiarize yourself, this is not a National race meeting, it is a club event where you can get the best out of your car without having the long arm of the law hit you with a huge fine. You can drive the track at your pace.
